Organization, Mid-America Regional Executive Board, Carle Illinois College of Medicine, and is a lifetime member of the President's council at the University of Illinois. Kara has a BS from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and 25+ years of experience in brand development and strategic planning.

Melissa Amedeo; Senior Vice President DCC Marketing
Melissa leverages her 30+ years of diverse marketing experience to lead strategy, research & analytics, traditional media and digital media planning and placement.. Her experience spans across marketing disciplines including TV, radio, print, direct mail, CRM, organic and paid social, organic search, paid search, promotions, events, partnership negotiations, loyalty programs and data analytics. She oversees our media planning and placement team and manages our Chicago office. Her critical thinking starts with keeping the end in mind. In order to develop and execute successful media strategies she ensures we start with the understanding of what success looks like, who is the audience we are trying to reach, what are their motives and behavior, where and why do they engage. She has successfully grown the brands of Fortune 500 companies like Meow Mix, Milk-Bone, Butterball, Del Monte, Silk, Horizon Organics and Keebler. Melissa is a founding member and serves on the board of directors for Building Up, a Women's Mentoring Organization, and is the sponsorship chair for the Jeanine Nicarico Memorial Fund.
