Description

Be Prepared. Be Empowered. Learn to STOP THE BLEED.

No one wants to imagine a tragedy occurring in the workplace, but the reality is, preparation can make all the difference. The Champaign County Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with Vital Education & Supply Inc. to offer two STOP THE BLEED training workshops on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, led by certified instructor Jen Wilson.

According to the American College of Surgeons, “the number one cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding.” This nationally recognized training teaches you how to respond confidently and effectively in a bleeding emergency.

During the workshop, you’ll learn three simple, life-saving techniques. Through hands-on instruction, Wilson will guide you through each step providing coaching, feedback and confidence in your ability to act.

Choose from two available sessions. Each class is limited to 16 participants to ensure personalized instruction.

Don’t wait until it’s too late. Register today and help make your workplace a safer place for everyone.

About Jen Wilson, WEMT, Lead Instructor

Jen is the president of Vital Education and Supply, with 30 years of experience. Jen's favorite class to teach is Stop the Bleed. She loves watching the students--initially tentative about dealing with severe trauma--leave empowered to help.

Jen started Vital Education after the death of a family friend who suffered a cardiac arrest at age 39. She saw the impact his premature death had on his family and vowed to provide CPR training to anyone who would sit and listen. The halo in the Vital Education logo is in honor of that friend.

"I would like my students to know that helping is never wrong," she says. "Even if you don't know what to do, trying to do something is better than doing nothing."
