This exciting event is open to everyone in the community and will feature two distinguished speakers, Lisa Micele and Erin Schoonover, who will share their expertise on essential topics many families have on their mind as they begin planning for their child’s high school experience: Engaging in academics and extracurricular activities Using resources and developing a personalized educational journey Understanding how colleges evaluate prospective students within the context of their high school Attendees who RSVP to the event will be able to submit their questions to our experts in advance to ensure that everyone’s questions can be answered throughout the presentation. This event is a fantastic opportunity to understand the high school journey and how it connects to college planning. Whether you're anticipating or navigating a public, independent, or specialized high school, this evening will equip you with the knowledge and tools to ensure your teenager makes the most of their high school years. Meet Our Distinguished Speakers: Lisa Micele has more than thirty years of experience in education supporting students and their families as they navigate the undergraduate admissions process. She is the Director of College Counseling at University Laboratory High School and is also the College Counseling Consultant to Academy High. Erin Schoonover has over ten years of experience as an admissions officer working in student recruitment and overseeing application review processes.
