This is the third and final breakfast of the Fall Breakfast Series:

Fighting Illini Men’s Basketball Coach Brad Underwood will be speaking.

Brad Underwood was named head coach of the Fighting Illini on March 18.

He arrived in Champaign from Oklahoma State, where he led OSU to a 20-win season and NCAA Tournament appearance. The Cowboys had one of the most exciting and prolific offenses in the country, ranking eighth in the NCAA in scoring (85.7 points per game) and leading the nation in adjusted offensive efficiency. Oklahoma State finished fifth in the Big 12 with a 9-9 conference record in a season where the Big 12 was rated as the toughest conference in the nation. OSU came on strong during the second half of the season, winning 10 of 11 games from Jan. 21-Feb. 25, which included a pair of five-game winning streaks.

Prior to turning around the Cowboys program, Underwood had a dominant run at Stephen F. Austin where he led the Lumberjacks to Southland Conference regular season and tournament titles in each of his three seasons, leading to three straight NCAA Tournament appearances and Round of 64 wins in 2014 and 2016. Underwood compiled an 89-14 record at SFA, tied with Brad Stevens (Butler, 2008-10) for the most wins ever by a head coach in his first three seasons at an NCAA school.


Cost to attend is $19 for members for the single breakfast or $50 for the whole series. Price for non-members is $39 (there is no discount for non-members that attend the whole series).

Breakfast Series includes September 14, October 12, and November 9 breakfasts.
