Description
The Polar Plunge and Donut Dash 5K is a unique opportunity to support Special Olympics Illinois athletes by taking a dip into Illinois’ frigid winter waters or run/walk a 5K with the option of eating donuts along the route!
The concept is simple: participants raise a minimum of $100 in donations in exchange for jumping into Illinois’ icy winter waters! Besides bragging rights, all plungers will receive an official Polar Plunge hooded sweatshirt and entrance into a Post-Plunge party. Additional incentive prizes are provided to those who raise $250, $500, or $1000+ for the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois!
For the Donut Dash you pay a fee of $30 by Feb. 10th and receive the official Dash shirt and goody bag. Day of registration is $35 and shirts will be limited.
All proceeds collected by plungers benefit the more than 22,000 traditional athletes and 20,000 Young Athletes of Special Olympics Illinois.
