DESCRIPTION:The Champaign County Chamber of Commerce Foundation wants you to participate in our second annual Scarecrow Hunt to support the Chamber foundation which supports programs like iRead   iCount.\n\n \n\nAll you have to do is decorate your best scarecrow(s) outside your place of business - bonus points for creativity! (rules apply)\n\n \n\nThe Chamber will promote the event to the Champaign County community across multiple platforms. The hunt is intended to be family-oriented activity that will encourage people to visit our local businesses\; give families a break from the stress of COVID-19 and encourage people to be outdoors before the weather changes.\n\n \n\nScarecrows will be displayed between Monday\, October 18 and Monday\, November 1.\n\n \n\nParticipation fee: $75 (per business/location).\n\n \n\nTo sign up\, please select the green "Register" button above and complete the registration process. If you plan to have scarecrows at more than one location\, please select the additional fee item option and select how many additional locations you plan to have scarecrows at. \n\n \n\nMoney raised from this event will go towards materials and other operating expenses associated with the iRead   iCount program. iRead   iCount is a community initiative designed to help reduce the achievement gap in our schools. It gives the students who need extra help with reading and math additional one-on-one instructional time with a caring volunteer.\n\n \n\nIn order to have time to promote the participating businesses and their scarecrows\, the sign-up deadline is Friday\, October 8 by 4:00 p.m. Have fun with it. Engage your staff and test their creativity. A prize will be awarded for the most 'voted' on scarecrow.
