DESCRIPTION:SALVATION ARMY RED KETTLE RUN 2021\n\n\n\nJoin us for the 1st Annual Red Kettle Run to benefit our local kids being held on Saturday\, July 17th\, between 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.\n\n\n\nThe Champaign County Salvation Army will host this event at Champaign's McKinley Field to benefit disadvantaged children.  This fundraiser will underwrite the cost of our nine-week day camp program for area low-income and at-risk children ages 6-13.\n\n\n\nThe summer camp runs from June 7 through Aug. 6\, affording local children an opportunity for growth and self-development.  This nine-week program helps to build social skills\, develop sportsmanship\, enjoy daily activities\, achieve daily goals\, receive daily tutoring in math and reading\, and partake in a daily nutritional meal.\n\nIn-person participants and remote supporters can register online at www.SalArmy.US/redkettlerun with a $24 donation. Registered runners\, walkers and even marchers can circle the track in two-hour time blocks (or more).\n\nCooling stations with snacks and drinks will be available trackside throughout the day as well as event t-shirts and swag bags for all attendees.\n\n\n\nPre-registration is preferred\, although participants can register at the event.\n\n\n\nThank you for supporting our local youth!
