The purpose of this event is two fold: 1) To raise awareness about the challenges faced daily by those who have to navigate the world in a wheelchair. 2) To raise money which will help us continue to continue the mission of helping those with disabilities to grow and maintain their independence. \n\n\n\nTo the first point\, you will see just how challenging pushing yourself everywhere could be\, as you wind your way through Urbana's beautiful Meadowbrook Park. As you go through this course\, you will experience pushing yourself uphill\, controlling yourself downhill\, and keeping yourself on pavement through sweeping curves. \n\n\n\nAnd as for the second point\, our mission helps hundreds of your friends and neighbors remain independent every year. Our ultimate goal is not only to help empower the individual\, but ensure that society's barriers to inclusion and independence are removed. \n\n\n\nCome join us on a beautiful Spring Saturday morning!!!
