On Thursday\, Sept. 29\, the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce\, along with our new official electricity provider Fighting Illini Energy (FIE)\, will host two educational sessions on how to join the next Chamber electricity cooperative round. By pooling together\, the aggregate amount of electricity our members are using along with FIE's wholesale expertise and strength of credit allows FIE to provide a great cost savings to our members. Pooling the efforts leads to better pricing for all members that participate. \nOn average\, the Chamber members participating in the Chamber cooperative program are saving 15 percent on their electricity supply.
